Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you browse our site or order a kitchen appliance, why we use it and what you can ask us to do with it. It applies to the United Kingdom and is written to the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
(“we”, “us”, “our”) trades as and operates . We sell small domestic appliances online to private customers in the United Kingdom, and we are the data controller for the personal data described here.
2. What data we collect
Placing an order requires contact and delivery details. We collect:
- Identity and contact data — your name, email address, phone number, billing address and delivery address.
- Order data — the appliances you ordered, order number, order history, delivery status and any notes you leave for the courier.
- Payment data — confirmation that a payment succeeded, the payment method type and the last digits of the card as reported by our payment provider. Full card numbers are processed by the payment provider and are never stored on this website.
- Correspondence — the content of emails you send us, including warranty and returns enquiries. Our contact button opens your own email client; the site has no server-side contact form.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and cookie identifiers (see section 8).
- Marketing preferences — whether you have opted in to emails from us.
We do not collect special category data (such as health, biometric or political data), and we do not ask for it. Please do not send us sensitive information by email.
3. Why we use it and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Lawful basis (UK GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Taking payment, dispatching your order and passing delivery details to the courier | Performance of a contract |
| Answering enquiries, handling returns, warranty claims and after-sales support | Performance of a contract / legitimate interests |
| Sending marketing emails about our range | Consent, or the soft opt-in for existing customers |
| Preventing fraudulent orders and keeping the site secure | Legitimate interests |
| Website analytics and improvement | Consent, given through the cookie banner |
| Keeping sales records for tax, accounting and consumer law | Legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interests, our interest is running a reliable online shop; we balance this against your rights and use the minimum data needed.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with providers who help us run the shop, and only with what they need:
- Website hosting and e-commerce platform — storing the site and your order records.
- Payment provider — taking and confirming payment; they act as a separate controller for card data.
- Courier and delivery partners — your name, delivery address, phone number and email so the parcel can be delivered and tracked.
- Suppliers, distributors and manufacturers — where a warranty claim, spare part or repair requires it.
- Email and marketing tools — sending order confirmations and, if you opted in, marketing.
- Analytics providers — measuring how the site is used, where you have consented.
- Accountants and professional advisers — for bookkeeping, tax and legal advice.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it, for example to a tax authority, a regulator or under a court order. We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
We keep data in the UK or the European Economic Area wherever possible. If a provider stores data elsewhere, we rely on UK adequacy regulations for that country, or on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with any additional measures needed. You can ask us which safeguard applies to a specific provider.
6. How long we keep it
- Order, payment and delivery records — six years from the end of the relevant tax year, to meet HMRC and accounting rules.
- Warranty and returns correspondence — for the length of the warranty period plus one year.
- Account data — while the account is open, then up to twelve months after you close it.
- Marketing data — until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.
- Cookie and analytics data — for the lifetime of the cookie, as listed in the cookie banner.
When a period ends we delete the data or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.
7. Security
The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it, protected by individual accounts and strong authentication, and card details never reach our systems. No online service can promise perfect security, but if a breach happens that puts your rights at risk we will tell you and the ICO as required by law.
8. Cookies
Essential cookies keep the basket and checkout working and cannot be switched off. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the banner or by clearing cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the checkout from working.
9. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Erasure — ask us to delete data, where we have no legal reason to keep it.
- Restriction — ask us to pause processing while a dispute is resolved.
- Portability — receive data you gave us in a machine-readable format, or have it sent to another provider.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.
- Withdraw consent — where our basis is consent.
To use any of these rights, email . We reply within one month and may ask you to confirm your identity first. Using your rights is free.
10. Withdrawing consent
You can unsubscribe from marketing with the link in any marketing email, or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it, and we will still send transactional messages such as order confirmations and delivery updates, because those are part of the contract.
11. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, email and we will investigate. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
12. Age restriction
Our shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly sell to or collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our processing changes or the law does. The date at the top always shows the current version, and we will announce material changes on this page or by email if you have an account with us.
